I'll overwhelm 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote next month's bout.

Ex two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the novice is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
